Inshallah is unquestionably one of Kenya’s most charismatic & private beach properties. There are some places that cannot be defined by an ordinary sense of time or words; they are blessed, pure and timeless. Inshallah (if Allah wills : God willing), as its Arab name suggests fits into this rare and cherished category.
The location is an ideal retreat for couples, honeymooners, friends or singles and the perfect place to relax, reflect & indulge in romance, peace & recovery.
This beautiful & exquisite retreat offers three double accommodations, the Inshallah Beach Cottage, the Melia Suite and for the ultimate five star experience our gem, the Azhari Beach Suite. All three living spaces are set perfectly apart on the large property and offer guests luxurious, modern & private living spaces. Private access to the beach from all three locations is via a large sweeping lawn which leads to a private seafront beach area named the ‘Woodhenge’. The Azhari Beach Suite is literally a few footsteps from the ocean.
The ‘Wood Henge’ is a shared private beach space and offers, magical ocean views, a fire-pit BBQ, sunbeds and large timber beach deck for sun and yoga lovers. A magical place for sunrise experiences or the perfect ‘sundowner’ spot for an iced ‘G&T’ after a long day on the beach.
The tropical 3 acre gardens hosts giant 1,000 year-old Baobab trees, coconut palms & flamboyant trees and is complimented with a sweeping lawn that leads to Africa’s best beach.
Inshallah Kenya, whilst being extremely private, is also centre proximity to restaurants, bars and shopping, as well as the whole load of adventure activities that Diani Beach offers.
The original Inshallah House was built more than 90 years ago, as a simple beach holiday home. Originally build in the 1920’s, as one of the first houses on Diani Beach, this stunning colonial home displays Swahili & Arab architectural influences, which are evident throughout the home and include exquisite antique carved doors and furniture, fine Cedar decking, Teak floors & staircases, as well furniture created from reclaimed and rare timbers such as Ebony, Teak and Mahogany
Your host Nicole and her family have lived here for more than 25 years and have over time, slowly rebuilt many areas of the main house, as well as adding to the original architecture. Most of the timber used in the development has been reclaimed, with much of it having been found on the beach and bush, as well as some salvaged from shipwrecks. The Inshallah Cottage, Azhari Beach Suite & latest addition ‘Melia Suite’ were developed more recently to be able to offer guests a small slice of the magic that Inshallah offers. There is simply nothing else like it ANYWHERE !
